The 7 Car Body Repairs Our Clients Request Daily

Oct 05, 2023

When people are referring to car body repairs, they are talking about fixing the outside of the car. Some auto body shops won't deal with anything on the inside, such as the engine or other interior parts. Car body repair shops are typically going to fix the aesthetics, like the paint or parts of the car like the bumper or fender. However, some places do both so don't forget to ask one of their technicians what they're capable of doing for your vehicle.

When it comes to auto body repairs, we have seen customers bring in vehicles that have had all kinds of damage done to them. The extent can range from a minor dent or two to damage that results in the vehicle being marked down as totaled. However, some auto body repairs are more common than others. Here are seven examples of car body repairs we see almost daily.

1. Front Bumper Repairs

This one often makes sense to people because the first thing that's going to get hit a lot of the time is the front bumper. That's not to say that the rear one is safe from harm, but according to Carwise, a third of the people bringing in their vehicle have sustained damage to the front bumper. The auto technicians will take a look at what happened to see about either repairing the bumper by getting any dents out -- see the next one below -- or they will just go ahead and replace it. If you choose a shop that works on both the interior and exterior of vehicles, then they will also check to see if any other parts were damaged in the process, such as your engine or electrical wiring. It's really not a good idea to be driving around without a bumper, so we'll make sure that you're good to go in a short amount of time.

2. Paintless Dent Repairs

Sometimes you hit something and expect a dent, and other times it seems as though a dent came out of nowhere. It can be that someone opens a gate too quickly and slams it into your car, or a kid throws a ball and hits your vehicle, or worse, you go into the parking lot to find someone has backed into your car. The point is that there are plenty of major and minor risks to your vehicle that can cause a dent. That's why it's something that we're all too familiar with fixing.

Luckily, we can take care of that with our paintless dent repair. It's fairly simple and doesn't take long to complete. We do this regularly and our customers love that we don't have to paint over anything. Before they know it, there's no indication that there was a dent at all. They can go out on the road again with a car that looks as though nothing ever happened.

3. Window Repairs and Replacements

Windows are important for your safety while you're driving, and unfortunately, they can also be relatively fragile. A lot of things can happen to your windows. There can be extreme weather conditions, or maybe someone broke your windshield to break in. Someone driving by could kick up a pebble that hits your side window and puts a bulls-eye on it. If you leave it alone, that little bulls-eye could grow massive and weaken your window. You may see cracks, chips, or even shattered glass. Bring your car to us, and we'll do our best to repair it and will replace it if necessary.

4. Collision Repairs

People have collisions all the time. They can leave a little or a lot of damage, depending on where it happened. We've seen people bring in vehicles that were hit head-on, on the side, and in the back. It's our job to assess whether we can fix it. It also depends on the value of the car, too. There may be times when it's better to just mark it as totaled because the cost to replace it would be higher than the cost of a new vehicle. We take each situation seriously and work to get each one in good condition, so you can get back on the road.

5. Frame Repairs and Alignments

If you find your vehicle is shaking or feels unbalanced, it usually means that something is wrong with the frame. We can repair and also realign it. Considering the frame can affect how your vehicle runs overall, you should definitely have us check it if you were in a recent accident since that typically affects the frame.

6. Fender Repairs

Your fenders do a good job of protecting your tires from things like debris while you drive. Still, things can happen to them while you're on the road, and you might need to get fender repairs done at some point. Fender benders are the most common cause of fender damage, which is when someone hits your vehicle from behind. Bent fenders are bad because they don't protect your tires. You'll want to ensure you bring your car in for car body repairs as soon as possible to fix the issue.

7. Paint Repairs

Your car paint can get scratched in a variety of ways. Debris can hit your car and scratch the paint, the sun can be harsh on it and cause the paint to fade over time, or you could not be paying attention and find yourself getting too close to a pole or sign. All of this can result in your vehicle looking unattractive, and you want it to be restored to its former glory. Not only will you feel better driving around, but this will help increase the value in case you ever decide to sell it.

Whatever the cause, you should get it fixed as soon as you possibly can. We can do that! Our specialists know exactly how to restore your vehicle so you can't tell there was any damage done in the first place. We'll find paint that matches your original color and get to work. In our experience, this usually requires three layers of paint. Before you know it, your car will look like a nice shiny new one that you just bought. As previously mentioned, it's also a good investment if you are thinking of selling your car since the buyer will like how the new paint job looks and might even be willing to pay more than your initial asking price.

You might need one of these seven services, or you might need something else. Whatever the case, you should entrust a professional with car body repairs. There might be a lot of YouTube videos out there that claim to help you do it by yourself, but if you screw it up, that means you're probably going to have to pay even more than you would have if you'd brought it to a shop. That's likely going to be a one-time expensive mistake that we hope you won't repeat.

It's our goal to make each one of our clients happy. We treat each vehicle that they bring in like it's our own. We also aim to explain everything as clearly as we can. Then we'll get to work. Do you need
